Cantina Sacchetto was founded in 1920 and today is run by Filiberto Sacchetto, his son Paolo and daughter Beatrice who oversee all aspects of the winemaking process and aim to produce the best possible examples of wines for which the region is famous.
The grapes for this wine are grown in the province of Treviso, in Veneto, which is situated between the Gulf of Venice and the Alps. The Glera grapes are renowned for producing elegant sparkling wines.
Each grape variety was fermented separately. The grapes were de-stemmed and softly pressed. Maceration on skins lasted a few hours. Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with the addition of selected yeasts. This semi-sparkling wine owes its bubbles to a partial second fermentation in tank, a sort of interrupted Charmat process sparkling wine.
An enticing fizz with vibrant aromas of exotic, tropical fruits, complemented by floral notes and citrus zest. A fine, persistent mousse leads to a mellow and full-bodied palate with a deliciously dry and refreshing finish.
A perfect apéritif, it also accompanies shellfish, fresh seafood, macaroni with a meat sauce, or cheese.
