One of the pioneers of the modern Greek wine revolution Gaia Estate was established in 1994 by Greek winemakers Leon Karatsalos and Yiannis Paraskevopoulos. Operating two different wineries they make cutting edge wines in both Nemea and Santorini.

Tasting Note:      Soft red fruit on the nose with just a hint of toasty oak. On the palate, black cherry and red fruits are well balanced with the oak, harmonious, great structure and a nice velvety finish. Agiorgitiko is the red grape of Nemea, it makes silky smooth fruit packed reds.

Viticulture:          Agiorgitiko is a red grape variety indigenous to Greece. Old vines are planted on south-west facing slopes at an altitude of 650m near to the village of Koutsi.
