Tasting Note

Two traditional Greek varieties combine to give an elegant wine: the Moschofilero contributes a vibrant, floral flavour while the Roditis provides a smooth lemony character.

Producer Note

One of the pioneers of the modern Greek wine revolution Gaia Estate was established in 1994 by Greek winemakers Leon Karatsalos and Yiannis Paraskevopoulos. Operating two different wineries they make cutting edge wines in both Nemea and Santorini. Gaia's main aim is to present the potential of the indigenous Greek grape varieties to wine enthusiasts worldwide.

Winemaking

Selected grapes are de-stemmed and crushed. Only free-run must is retained from Roditis grape variety. Fermentation (approximately 20 days at 16° C) is followed by blending of Roditis and Moschofilero wines.

Serving Suggestion

As an aperitif or as an accompaniment to light meals and delicate flavours.
