One of the pioneers of the modern Greek wine revolution Gaia Estate was established in 1994 by Greek winemakers Leon Karatsalos and Yiannis Paraskevopoulos. Operating two different wineries they make cutting edge wines in both Nemea and Santorini.

Tasting Note:      Simply stunning - sweet, serious and velvety. Great depth and complexity with loads of black and red fruits with powerful yet smooth tannins. A top red not just from Gaia Estate but in our opinion, the whole of Greece.

Viticulture:         Sourced from low yielding Agiorgitiko vines on south-westerly slopes at 650 metres altitude. Natural fining and no filtration.

Fermentation:    Macerated for a lengthy period then the wine was matured in French oak casks for 12 months.
