A delicious, vibrant style of rosé and a credible Spanish alternative to Provence pink.

Production

The Bobal grapes, indigenous to south-east Spain, are cultivated in loam soils which are rich in red clay. Yields are controlled and organic practices employed. Bobal ripens a little later than other varieties typically used to make light and fruity reds and rosés - and only a very careful selection of the best grapes in Camporrobles, in D.O. Utiel-Requena, are used for Pasión de Bobal Rosado. The grapes are macerated for 16 hours, and the free run juice is fermented - both at low, controlled temperatures to maintain freshness and aromas.

Tasting Note

Pale, 'Provence-style' pink in colour with delicate red berry fruit. Finely balanced with clean, bright acidity. Despite the 12% alcohol and pale colour it has weight and texture and an appealing and distinctive red fruit character.

Food Match

A stand-alone aperitif, also perfect with salmon or grilled chicken salad.
