A lively and delicate off-dry wine with a slight pétillance, fresh with floral notes of lime and peaches and passionfruit.
This 18-hectare family owned winery is located among lush vineyards at the banks of the Rhine River in the heart of the most important Riesling growing region in the world. The vineyards extend from Rüdesheim to Hochheim. Different slope angles, soil substrates and micro-climates produce unique and complex wines. Great emphasis is placed on professional care, environmental responsibility and care for the grape vines, with the aim of producing wines of the highest quality. Wines are offered in the “Rhinegau flute“, which is an elegant, antique-green flask with bevelled edges.
The Rheingau region, where the Villa Gutenberg vineyards are located, extends from the ''Mainspitze''near Hochheim to the Middle Rhine, beyond Rüdesheim. This small growing region that encompasses an area of around 3,000 hectares of vineyards has written wine-growing history up until today. Various soil types from clay to quartz, loam and loess add complexity to the resulting wine. The vines enjoy a unique climate, which is one of the most important prerequisites for optimal ripening and exceptional bouquet.
