The fruit for this wine comes from The Wine Portfolio's Marlborough vineyards located in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys of the Marlborough district. The fruit was pressed off the skins soon after harvest in Marlborough, with the juice then being transported to Katikati for fermentation. Select yeasts are used, which combined to contribute to the aromatic complexity of the wine. It is herbaceous and grassy and shows notes of pineapple and passion fruit with some limey acidity to finish.
