Inmacùla in Latin means without blemish. A lovely golden colour with a fine nose which gives rise to aromas of apricot, pear. floral notes and an elegant mineral touch. It is expressive, long and has a subtle minerality on the finish.
Tandem is a very exciting new project, the brainchild of José Maria Fraile and Alicia Eyaralar, two of the leading lights in the Navarra winemaking scene. Totally committed to making the best wines in the region, Tandem is the perfect example of "New-Wave" Spain.
Tandem's vineyard philosophy is based around sustainable farming. Vines are trained using the Guyot method in clay loam soils.
The grapes were harvested at night to retain freshness. After several hours of pre-fermentation maceration at 10°C, the must was racked. One third was fermented in 300 litre French oak barrels and two thirds in stainless steel. Daily battonage in barrel added texture and complexity. Tandem's winery is built partially underground to create a gravity fed winery with minimal stress for the wines.
