Andeluna was created by its owner, international businessman H.Ward Lay (son of the founder of Lays – the parent company of Walkers crisps) and the Rutini family of Argentina. The winery and vineyards are situated in the beautiful Uco Valley close to the town of Tupungato. This area, close to the Andes, is producing some of the best fruit in Argentina.


Tasting Note:        Notable bouquet of citrus and apricots with white blossoms. Tropical fruits – mango and pineapple on the palate, good weight and well rounded with refreshing acidity on the finish. Drink as an aperitif but will stand up to many foods.

Style:                    Medium bodied

Variety:                100% Torrontés.

Viticulture:           Torrontés is unique to Argentina and is the most widely planted white variety. The Uco Valley in Mendoza produces high quality Torrontés that is often marked by a green hue and is aromatic with good minerality.

Fermentation:     Fermented and matured for 5 months in stainless steel tanks. The wine was left to rest on its lees thus creating extra weight and texture but still maintaining freshness

Awards:               Silvio Alberto was recently recognised as Outstanding Winemaker of the Year in Argentina
