Grape varieties : Syrah - Grenache – Carignan.

Origin : Just imagine a little piece of paradise between the Mediterranean coast and the foothills of Pyrenees. Here you are in the heart of the Cotes du Roussillon Villages, in the mineral landscape of Tautavel.

Vinification : Separate vinification of each grape variety and then assembled in order to preserve the expression of the terroirs. Cold maceration in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks gently extract the compounds from the grape skins. Ageing in French oak barrels for 6 to 12 months brings structure and complexity.

Soil : Clay limestone

Colour : Pretty ruby red colour with dark and deep reflections.

Nose : Nice bouquet of small ripe red fruits.

Palate : Silky, fresh and mineral with ripe red fruit aromas complemented by a touch of vanilla. Well balanced with elegant tannins and a long finish.

Recommendations : Ideal with lamb navarin, game and fine cheeses.

Gorgeous mixed grape variety….

For us, by far our favourite wines are those crafted from mixed grapes, where the producers have blended various grapes to create an enhanced flavour, ideally from three varieties. This is one of those. We found it when dining in a local restaurant, so impressed that we sought out a stockist when we got back. So pleased we found it, stocked with Wine Poole. Highly recommend if, like us, you like varietal ranges…..
