Vina Echeverria is a long established Chilean family owned and managed Estate, producing high quality wines. Their 75 hectares of vineyards, in one single block, and their state-of-art winery are located on the outskirts of the town of Molina in the Curicó Valley, 200Km south of Santiago.

Vina Echeverria only make wine from their estate grown grapes, all of which originate from un-grafted select clones of pre-phylloxera French rootstock of Cabernet Sauvignon (48%), Sauvignon Blanc (30%), Chardonnay (20%) and Merlot (2%). High priority is given to care in the vineyards and canopy management to control vegetative growth. Exposure to sunlight and air movement on the leaves are maximised, leading to almost organic viticulture with the minimum use of agrochemical products.

All members of the Echeverria family are involved at the winery making an unbeatable team, bonded together by the strongest forces of all: deep family roots, a shared passion for winemaking, an uncompromising search of excellence and a total commitment to their customers' satisfaction.

Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc proprietor's single vineyard grapes from pre-phylloxera French rootstock.

Harvest: Hand harvested in May, in 3 different Stages, to select specific clusters with Desired degree of ripeness and noble botrytis

Soil: Loam & clay soil, medium to low fertility, well drained gravely subsoil.

Winemaking; Harvested entirely by hand and carried to the winery in 18Kg boxes immediately after cutting. Whole cluster pressing with a 48 hour static sedimentation prior to fermentation. Fermented with selected yeasts at 18C constant temperature in stainless steel tanks for 45 days. The wine is then transferred to oak barrels for moderate ageing.

Alc 13.5%, R/s 126.2 g/l

Colour: Golden yellow.

Tasting Notes: Complex nose with clear overtones of mature peaches, apricots and honey, with a delicate background of botrytis. Rich, intense and full bodied with a long and elegant finish where fruits and botrytis express their identity in full harmony.
