Grape variety : 100% Merlot
Origin : Central Chilean valley, at the foot of the Andes (wine growing area : 114,000 hectares).
Vinification : The grapes are harvested when just ripe, de-stemmed, crushed, fermented for 10 days at a controlled temperature (about 30° C) and gently pressed. The wine is racked and matured in stainless steel vats.
Soil : Varied over the whole producing area, there are sandy, clay-chalky and stony soils.
Colour : Highly intense purple red colour.
Nose : Spicy notes, cherries, blackcurrants and small red berry jam.
Palate : Round and pleasing wine with a fine aromatic persistence, highly supple tannins, silky and very fleshy.
Food pairings : Serve with red meat, roasts, cold meats.
