Spanish Mixed Case

The case is made up of 6 bottles of our outstanding Spanish wines. We import the majority of these direct and so this case offers fantastic value for money.

Many of these wines come from the Penedes region, which is a region able to produce all manner of excellent wines by virtue of its many microclimates.  Whilst living in Spain a few years ago we developed strong ties with Bodegas Pinord in Vilafranca del Penedes and we now import many of their excellent wines directly, making us the cheapest on line merchant for these wines, something that we are particularly proud of, especially on wines of such uncompromising quality.

Cava Dibon Brut Reserve - fizz made by the Champagne method but using traditional Spanish grape varieties.  Great for kicking off the weekend!

Clos Montblanc Macabeu Chardonnay  - zippy on the front palate with a slightly creamy finish making it an easy drinking white

Marques de Pluma Verdejo - crisp dry white from Rueda with delicious green apple acidity

Clos Montblanc Tempranillo - one of our best selling reds, with its warm Mediterranean fruit flavours from the Tempranillo grape

Vega del Rayo Vendimia Seleccionada Rioja - well made Rioja which is ideal for everyday drinking

Marques de Pluma Crianza  - intense bright fruit in this complex but rounded red from Ribera del Duero

Recipient very happy

The service was excellent and the recipient loves the choice of wines. She has tasted one of the reds and, despite being a white wine drinker, loved it.

A good selection

An interesting (and varied) cross-section of whats good about Spanish wines. Although the 2009 Chateldon was just starting to show its age, it is a very good example for anyone looking for the classic Cabernet Sauvignon flavours.
