Chateau Haut Mouleyre Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Château Haut-Mouleyre is located in the village of Escoussans, on the right bank of the Garonne. The vineyard is spread over the south and southwest facing hillsides overlooking the Garonne. The different plots enjoys the variety of the soil which gives plenty of wines with different personality.

Cadillac is an old fortified city in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, populated since the 10th century by the monks who cleared the hillsides and planted the vineyards. The region is rich in history and heritage, including the famous La Sauve Majeure abbey, built in the 12th century.

Various elements give the Château Haut-Mouleyre the potential for very high quality wines: the exposure and average age of the vineyards, the grape varieties, the soil and the diversity of the plots. Considerable work is done in the vineyards to ensure the best grapes and the optimum degree of maturity when they are harvested. 

Tasting Note : 

This 2018 vintage has a pale yellow colour. The nose reveals grapefruit and apple notes. The nose follows through on the palate which is lively and fresh with some faint exotic fruits on the finish.

Food & Wine Pairing : Perfect as an aperitif or with light fish or chicken dishes.

Serving condition : Between 10°C and 12°C

Preservation : Up to 3 years with the organoleptic profile described above. Beyond that, you will notice more mature notes without altering the quality of the wine.
