Virtual Wine Tasting - Wines of South Africa with Louis Boutinot

This is our Seventeenth virtual wine tasting in which we will be showcasing three South African wines from Waterkloof.  

Due to the fact that we cannot hold any face to face tastings currently, we are offering tastings online using the conferencing app Zoom.  We are thrilled to be joined at this tasting by Louis Boutinot who is the export director of this wine farm in Stellenbosch which is owned by his father Paul Boutinot.  He will be talking in general about wine production in South Africa, then he will guide you through three of their wines which you can taste alongside us in the comfort of your own home with the opportunity to ask questions. The wines being shown should demonstrate that South Africa wines offer so much more than workhorse Chenin Blanc and variable Pinotage! When the tasting selection has been purchased we will supply you with the appropriate log on details.

The three wines being shown at this tasting are - 

False Bay Slow Chenin Blanc 2020 - made using wild yeast resulting in a textural everyday white which punches above its price tag     

Circumstance Sauvignon Blanc 2020 - often referred to as the Pouilly Fume of Stellenbosch  

Circumstance Mourvedre 2017 - a juicy example of a single varietal Mourvedre
