Producer Note

Located in Yepes to the north of Toledo, this bodega was established in 2000 with the aim of producing wines which reflect the personality of the local terroir and microclimate through their unique character. The 100 hectares of vineyard are planted with Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, all chosen for their suitability for ageing and their well-defined character.

Vineyard

The vines are grown in Yepes, in Toledo part of the Tajo River Valley. The soil has high calcareous content, with predominance of gypsum and a sandy loam texture. The vines are between 15 to 17 years old and benefit from the dry, warm climate which has an annual rainfall of approximately 400 millimetres per annum.

Winemaking

The grapes were carefully selected at optimum maturity and were vinified using selected yeasts. Fermentation took place at low temperatures followed by a prolonged period on its fine lees, which imparted a roundness and smoothness to the resulting wine.

Tasting Note

An intense and fine bouquet with aromas reminiscent of spicy fruit, white floral notes and flint. Fresh, fragrant and beautifully balanced on the palate with an uplifting finish.

Serving Suggestion

This zesty wine makes a great apéritif and also accompanies light salads, grilled fish or seafood platters.
