Delicate pale pink in colour, this refreshing rosé shows vibrant red berry aromas layered with floral notes and delicate aniseed and fennel nuances on the finish.

While 2017 had a dry summer with lots of berries and not much juice, 2018 had enough occasional rain to fill the grapes with juice. The harvests took place under excellent conditions, delivering good quality crops and bringing 2018 in line with previous years; with the promise of a very good vintage.
This wine is certified organic and "Bee Friendly". The Bee Friendly certification is issued by the French body for sustainable development, ‘Ecocert Environnement’ and is based on specific criteria designed to protect bees and pollinators. For example, the use of pesticides identified as harmful to pollinators is prohibited. The label also requires apiaries to be installed on the estates. In partnership with beekeepers, the bees have taken up residence at the Château l'Hospitalet among other estates of the Gérard Bertrand group. The ‘Or & Azur’ colours on the label translate into English as Gold & Azure-blue and are symbolic of the Mediterranean sunshine and the terroirs of the South of France.
Each variety was harvested at optimal ripeness. The grapes were de-stemmed, cooled to 8°C and gently pressed to extract the desired level of rosé colour. The must was cold settled and fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, lasting for 15 to 30 days. Vinification focussed on the colour extraction and aromatic purity. The wine was gently fined and bottled early to preserve its aromatic, fruity character.
A delicate pink rosé delivering aromas of wild red berries and juicy blackberry. Harmoniously balanced, the refreshing palate of citrus and grapefruit is layered with delicate spice and a touch of violet.
