Chateau Fortia is a symbolic estate in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, both for its location and its roots that are closely linked to that of its appellation. Bruno Leroy de Boiseaumarie, the current proprietor and descendant of a family whose name is closely identified with the fight to establish appellations of origin. In 1929 due to the efforts of Baron Pierre Leroy, Chateauneuf du Pape became the first appellation with a set of winemaking regulations. However, Bruno Leroy does not rest on his laurels. Instead he strives to make people aware of his 30 hectare property and that of the appellation launched by his grandfather.
