Gravelly soil with smooth rounded pebbles from the Isle River Terraces, clay-gravel soil, sandy soil on clay and sandy soil on gravel.

85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc

Ageing:

100% in oak barrels 

Tasting Note:

Lively, impeccable, deep colour. Dark purple brilliance on the rim. First impressions on the nose of floral notes leads on to ripe fruit, blackberry and raspberry. The palate is ample and long, with a nice freshness lingering on the finish. This freshness then offers aromas of tobacco and liquorice. The tight tannins are beautifully coated, finishing with a characteristic softness expected in great Pomerols.
