Angelos Iatrides is one of the most talented winemakers working in Europe. This pristine estate in the cool highlands of Amyndeon in northern Greece employs the most up to date vineyard techniques and winemaking technology to produce world class wines from French and indigenous Greek varietals.

Tasting Note:      Touches of smoky oak with a distinct raspberry and thyme aroma. Vanilla, leather and spice on the palate with smooth oak on the finish. One of the finest and most age worthy reds in Greece.

Style:                   Full bodied.

Varieties:             Xinomavro with a small amount of Syrah.

Viticulture:          The Xinomvaro berries were hand harvested, de-stemmed and whole bunch pressed.

Region:                Amyndeon.

Soil Type:            Combination of sand and clay, offering good drainage.

Closure:              Cork

Fermentation:    Fermented in tanks with the lees being stirred for 7 months. The wine was then transferred for maturation in oak barrels for 8 to 9 months in both French and American barrels. Naturally fined and stabilised.

Alcohol:              13.5%

Food:                  Beef stews, aged steak, hearty dishes.
