This winery is owned by ‘Familia Falasco’ who have over 40 years’ experience producing fine wines and are a top 5 leading Argentine producer located in San Martin (in the east of Mendoza)

Familia Falasco/Los Haroldos own 3,000 hectares of vineyards in many of the prime locations, including vineyards in premier sub-region ‘La Consulta’ in the ‘Uco Valley’ which is 1,100 metres above sea level and offers a perfect micro-climate for producing fresh fruit driven wines.

This wine is produced as a new project at the Los Haroldos winery, which is a modern winery with a production capacity of 45 million litres of fine wine, and from February to the end of April, it processes 55 million kilos of grapes.  Los Haroldos is a leading wine within the Argentine domestic market and experiencing significant export growth.

Tasting Note:             Ripe black fruits, sweet spices, tobacco and mocha, mixed with fresh floral notes. A full ripe palate with notes of blackberries with a sweet firm tannic finish

VINIFICATION:         Cold maceration at 8°C for 5 days followed by fermentation at 30°C for 28 days, 100% Malolactic, aged for 15 months in first fill French oak barrels, natural clarification

Alcohol:                      14%

Variety:                      Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Petit Verdot

Altitude:                     1,100 metres above sea level

FOOD MATCHING:     Roast beef, veal, venison, great with game birds like duck, partridge and pheasant, cheeses like red Leicester and Cheshire
