A complex nose of almond and fresh apricot accompanied by vanilla and butterscotch notes. The wine is full bodied with apricot dominating the fresh fruit palate. The finish is buttery with subtle hints of toasty oak.
Domaine René Monnier was founded in 1723. The Domaine is now in the hands of the tenth generation of the family who own 18 hectares of vineyards in the best crus of the Côte de Beaune, one of the largest privately owned Domaines in the region. Great attention is paid to limiting the yields in the vineyards. This guarantees the best possible quality of juice, with the correct balance between fruit and acidity. René Monnier's wines are well known in three star restaurants.

Selective and soft pressing of whole bunches followed by static settling of the must before fermentation. Aged in oak barrels (30% new oak) for 13 months.
Chilled with shellfish, especially lobster and scallops.
