People often ask me what we drink at home so I thought I would put together something about what we are drinking each month. We tend to have a fairly eclectic selection from both the Old World and the New World, and this month is no exception. With the weather having been so sunny we have been drinking more rose that normal.
Champagne Lallier Grand Cru Grande Reserve - exceptionally fine Pinot Noir dominant Champagne from Grand Cru vineyards
Pouilly Fume Laurier, Domaine Tabordet, Loire, France - the Sauvignon Blanc grape at its best in the Central Vineyard area of France
Pazo Rosquira Albarino, Rias Baixas, Spain - the perfect wine to drink with any fish dish
Dom Riesling Feinherb, Mosel, Germany - we love Riesling as it is so food friendly with its racing acidity and great fruit
Piedra Blanca Verdejo, Rueda, Spain - Verdejo is a noble grape and is at its best from Rueda. This one is more textural than many.
Quara Estate Viognier, Cafayate, Argentina - we seem to be drinking more and more Viognier, this one is quite lean with clean acidity
Chateau Boutisse, St Emilion Grand Cru, Bordeaux, France - a small percentage of Carmenere in the blend gives this a touch of spice
Chateau Lestrille Capmartin, Bordeaux Superieur, France - we love claret and this Merlot dominant one is perfect with lamb
Gran Logrado Crianza Rioja, Spain - this Rioja never fails to please us as it complements so many different dishes
Terrapieno Valpolicella Ripasso, Veneto, Italy - this mini Amarone is perfect with game dishes on cooler Autumn nights
Falconhead Hawkes Bay Syrah, New Zealand - a delicious staple Syrah in our house as it shows such restrain
Los Haroldos Seleccion de Familia Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina - a delicious award winning Malbec which is complex and smooth
If you would like to try all of these wines, we are offering them as a special selection. The selection of 12 bottles should cost £171.55 but it is on offer at £160.00. Normal delivery charges apply.
