People often ask me what we drink at home so I thought I would put together something about what we are drinking each month. We tend to have a fairly eclectic selection from both the Old World and the New World, and this month is no exception.
Feudi di San Gregorio Albente Falanghina, Campania, Italy - delicious white with great minerality
Saint Veran, Domaine Botti, Burgundy, France - one of our "go to" white Burgundies
Weingut Rabl Gruner Veltliner, Kamptal, Austria - a lovely aromatic white with nice minerality
Vaquos Verdejo, Rueda, Spain - we tend to prefer Verdejo to Sauvignon Blanc as we find it a bit more interesting
Tinpot Hut Pinot Gris, Marlborough, New Zealand - made by Fiona Turner this is a fruity, textural white which works well with or without food
Diluvio Albarino, Rias Baixas, Spain - Albarino has always been one of our favourite white grape varieties
Chateldon Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva, Penedes, Spain - one of our favourite reds with roast lamb
Cotes du Rhone Villages Les Coteaux Schisteux Seguret, France - we love Rhone reds and this is one which features frequently at home
Terrapieno Valpolicella Ripasso, Veneto, Italy - like a mini toned down version of Amarone and a verstile food wine with red meat
Herdade do Peso Colheita Alentejo Tinto, Alentejo, Portugal - a very underrated Portuguese red which should be tried to be appreciated
Verum Pinot Noir, Patagonia, Argentina - very Burgundian in style with savoury notes as well as cherry fruit
Trinity Hill The Gimblett, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand - a sort of Bordeaux blend from New Zealand
If you would like to try all of these wines, we are offering them as a special selection. The selection of 12 bottles should cost £156.80 but it is on offer at £146.00. Normal delivery charges apply.
