Bodegas Pinord is a family business which was founded 150 years ago. Since then, generation after generation, year after year, the wines produced by the family have been growing in prestige, the indigenous varieties have improved markedly, and the family name has become inseparably linked to the Penedés area where they are based.
More recently they have started producing wines in different DO's in Spain, principally in Priorat and then Montsant, Ribera del Duero and Rueda.
Rueda is the best DO for producing excellent quality white wines from this noble indigenous grape variety, which is for most people who like crisp dry white wines an absolute delight!
This white wine is made from 100% Verdejo grapes from vines between 15 and 30 years old, fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel fermentation tanks. It is straw yellow in colour, with lemon tinges and golden tones. It has a fruity aroma of green apple, tropical fruits, some aniseed and hints of minerals. On the palate it is dry and flavoursome with more apple tones and citrus notes. It combines well with seafood, white meat, pasta, salads and rice.
