Domaine René Monnier was founded in 1723. The Domaine is now in the hands of the tenth generation of the family who own 16 hectares of vineyards in the best crus of the Côte de Beaune. Great attention is paid to limiting the yields in the vineyards. This guarantees the best possible quality of juice, with the correct balance between fruit and acidity. René Monnier's wines are well known in three star Michelin restaurants.
Grapes: 100% Chardonnay grapes from ‘Les Folatieres' vineyards planted on the slopes
Vinification: Part in new French oak barrels and balance in stainless steel tanks. 1/3 of the wine is aged in oak for 8 -10 months.
Colour: Clear golden
Taste: An elegant and generous wine with apricot and mineral notes on the nose and palate. A refined and elegant wine with a lingering finish.
Serve: Chilled with shellfish, especially lobster and scallops.
