Opal Ridge Semillon Chardonnay 2010

The Opal Ridge range of wines have been successfully developed over a number of years. This is a good quality wine produced by Berton vineyards, which has designer labelling and competitive pricing. There are four different styles of wines produced under this label.

  
Grapes:       Semillon (71.8%), Chardonnay (22.3%), Trebbiano (3.7%) and Verdelho (2.1%)

Viticulture:   The grapes were sourced from the Riverina (NSW) with small parcels from vineyards in South Australia and Victoria.

Vinification:  Cold fermented in stainless steel to retain the fruity aromatics. A portion was fermented on oak lees to add complexity and texture.

Colour:        Medium yellow with greenish gold tinges

Taste:          Full of wonderful aromas of fresh passion fruit, well integrated with a lovely lime citrus palate that goes on forever. Alc 13.5%, RS 4 g/l

Serve:         Perfect with chicken or seafood with that touch of spice.
