The 2009 vintage in Marlborough was far superior to that of 2008. Fruit from the Kuranui vineyard in the Awatere Valley was harvested at optimum ripeness. The result is a wine that showcases the very best of what Marlborough has to offer. The wine is bursting with gooseberry, capsicum and subtle grassy aromas while the flavours are dominated by tropical fruit notes and red capsicum. It has a weighty mouth-feel and lengthy finish. A fine wine that exhibits great intensity, delicate structure and persistence. A wonderful accompaniment to seafood and salads.
