A textured and full-flavoured blend, with complex aromas of green apple, hay and herbaceous notes underpinned by remarkable minerality.

Producer Note

Matias Riccitelli is the son of renowned winemaker Jorge Riccitelli. Having worked at some of the most prestigious wineries in Argentina and several vintages around the world, Matias used his experience, knowledge and passion and set up his own winery in 2009. His vineyards cover 50 hectares located in three selected sites within the premium growing region of Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. This is a young and dynamic project in which Matias is seeking to express the full potential of Argentine terroir.


Excellent weather conditions during the ripening period accelerated the harvest and ensured the grapes were in perfect health when picked. The 2017 vintage will be remembered for its superb quality, flavour concentration and low volume.


Each component of the blend comes from carefully selected, high altitude, cool climate sites which produce grapes with aromatic complexity and beautiful freshness. The Sauvignon Blanc vineyard is located in the premium viticultural region of Gualtallary, where the vines are planted in calcareous soils at 1,400 metres above sea-level. The Semillon grapes come from a low-yielding 50 year old vineyard in La Consulta, where the vines grow at 1,000 metres elevation in sandy soils and produce rich, concentrated wines. The Chardonnay component comes from La Carrera which is located at 1,700 metres above sea-level in sandy soils which are supported by gravel and boulder.


The grapes were carefully sorted upon arrival at the winery. Fermentation took place in concrete eggs with wild yeasts at low temperatures, to retain the freshness and aromatics of the cool-climate fruit. The wine was aged for eight months in concrete eggs.

Tasting Note

Complex aromas of green apple, hay and herbaceous notes are underpinned by remarkable minerality. Textured and full flavoured with a wonderful fluency and a rich energy on the finish.
