Givry is a village situated west of Chalon-sur-Saone, and in the heart of the Cote Chalonnaise. Givry, famous as the preferred wine of King Henri IV, produces mostly red wine. The Givry appellation covers 520 acres of vineyards and only a tenth of the total produces rare white wines. The renowned Joblot family have been producing wine for a long time and own parcels of hillside vineyards in the 1er Cru Clos des Bois-Chevaux and Clos de la Servoisine. Their white wines are fermented in new barriques and show the elegance and concentration typical of this Domaine. Production is very small and these sought after wines are limited in availability.

Vinification: Fermentation took place in oak barrels filled to allow a little airspace on top. The barrel is simply the ideal size for maintaining fermentation at an even low temperature cooled by the humid ambiance of the cellar.50% was fermented in new French oak barrels, 40% in 1 year old barrels and 10% in stainless steel. The various parcels were then blended and aged for 12 months in barriques.
Colour: Pale gold with glints of green
Taste: A classic bouquet, fresh with mineral and floral notes. The wine has great finesse and a lingering finish.
Serve: Chilled with rich creamy sauced white meats and game.
