Under the guidance of Erick Lavallée, this property, in the village of St Bris de Vineux, makes clean and fresh Chablis which is blended from different parcels on the estate for complexity and balance. We are also pleased to list his vibrant and delicious Sauvignon Blanc from the St. Bris appellation located to the south west of Chablis.
Saint-Bris le Vineux is a little village between Auxerre and Chablis. It is the most important village for wines from the Auxerrois region where wine has been produced since the 12th century.
Domaine Grand Roche comprises 22 hectares of vineyards and recently a modern winery, equipped with the latest technology, was completed. The wines of Domaine Grand Roche continue to win medals at home and abroad.
Grapes: 100% estate grown Chardonnay
Vinification: In temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine ages on fine lees for 6-9 months before being bottled.
Colour: Golden with green tinges
Taste: Clean fruit with balanced acidity and a dry, crisp finish. Typical fresh, mineral notes on nose and palate.
Serve: Chilled to accompany seafood, fish and white meats.
