Richly flavoured aromas of golden apple, quince and lime. This medium/full bodied mouth-watering white has complex aromatics, is impressive now and will improve over the next 5 years.
Cantina Tramin, founded in 1898, has 280 member winegrowers who follow its strict directives on the cultivation of the vines and covers 230 hectares of vineyards situated on the sunny slopes at an altitude of 250-700M above sea level. These vineyards are an integral part of the enchanting and picturesque landscape of the Alto-Adige region of northern Italy. In 2011 Tramin gained the "double Stella". This is given to a winery for achieving the prestigious "3 Bicchieri" 20 times and is awarded by the Gambero Rosso.
Calcareous clay, stones and limestone. The name this wine refers to the stony soil in which the grapes are grown, which in local dialect is referred to as "stoan."
The grapes were softly pressed. Fermentation took place in large oak barrels at a temperature of 18-20C where the malolactic fermentation also took place. The wine remained in these barrels until it was bottled in mid May following the vintage.

This wine pairs deliciously with flavorful starters, such as tuna ceviche, or dishes such as grilled chicken with mango salsa or swordfish with lemon confit.
