Weekend Wine Tasting

Weekend of Wine Tasting in Catalonia

In conjunction with Clos Montblanc and Pinord wineries we are offering a weekend of wine tasting from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th October 2012.  It will be particularly interesting as the weekend will be towards the end of their harvest so there will be plenty to see at both of the wineries.  Clos Montblanc will be showing us around their main winery in Conca de Barbera and their Masia les Comes estate from where their reserva wine comes, whilst Bodegas Pinord will be showing us around their Mas Blanc winery in the heart of Priorat, where they produce the cult red wine for which Spain is becoming justifiably famous.   They will also be taking us to some of their vineyards and explaining the relevance of the soil, aspect etc on the eventual quality and taste of the wine, and of course they will both be offering a tasting of their wines!

Accommodation will be at a local "Masia" or country house where dinner, bed and breakfast will be offered, and lunch will be taken at some local restaurants with representatives from the wineries.

Flights are currently available with Ryanair from Birmingham to Barcelona Reus airport and the cost of a return flight at the time of writing (27 January 2012) is £95.92 not including baggage and insurance.  The outgoing flight leaves at 06.30 hours and we will return to Birmingham airport at 23.40 hours on the Sunday.

Places on this trip are very limited so if you are interested you will need to email back as soon as possible to register your interest.  The cost of the trip is £425 per person, inclusive of airport transfers and local travel, accommodation and meals (except Sunday evening), but exclusive of flights.
