A fresh, well structured, pleasant, semi-sparkling wine with hints of ripe fruit and in particular Golden Delicious apples in the background.
Carpenè Malvolti, founded in 1868 by Antonio Carpene, was the first winery to produce a quality Prosecco. A qualified chemist, in contact with Pasteur and Koch, he was convinced that a wine as good as Champagne could be produced in Italy. He applied his knowledge to the Prosecco grape (now known as Glera), the majestic variety of the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene zone. Over 130 years of history are testament to Carpene Malvolti's dedication to quality.
Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled tanks. Second fermentation takes place in tanks following the Charmat method and is stopped once this semi-sparkling wine reaches 2.4 atmospheres.
Ideal as an aperitif and excellent with fish dishes or drunk throughout the meal.
