In 1794, Johann Friedrich Deinhard founded the Deinhard company in Koblenz, the town at the cornerstone of the fine wines of the Mosel and the Rhine. He was well ahead of his time. His vision and foresight gave him international success and he was without equal, developing markets in over 20 countries around the world. The name Deinhard became a household name, respected for quality and value worldwide.

In response to changing tastes in wine around the world, Deinhard has carried out a comprehensive review of its range in order to enter the new millennium with wines that are of clearly recognisable international quality.

Grapes: 100% Riesling

Area of Origin: A cuvee of the finest Riesling grapes grown in the terraced vineyards situated on the Rhine and Mosel

Viticulture and Vinification: Rhine - medium lime clay Mosel- weathered slate. Mature grapes are carefully selected for primary fermentation and then assemblage. This is followed by a slow secondary fermentation at a cool temperature to retain the delicate characters of the wine. It is aged for several months on its lees followed by a year in bottle before its release.

Serve: Chilled at 6C as an aperitif or to accompany seafood and white meats.

Taste: Delicate fruit aroma, hint of apples and floral characters. Fine, soft mousse, light to medium bodied, elegant and fresh with a long finish.
