Suiker Bossie Chenin Blanc 2011

Boer & Brit is the combination of winemakers Stefan Gerber, a great, great grandson of President Paul Kruger and Alexander Milner a great, great grandson of Field Marshall John French. These two have, more than a hundred years after the bitter rivalry of their forefathers, created Boer & Brit, a range of dynamic and exciting wines.

Grapes:               95% Chenin 5% Viognier.

Vinification:        100% steel tank fermentation preceded by a cold maceration ensures clean fresh varietal characteristics have been preserved.

Colour:                Lemony yellow straw colour, clean and bright.

Tasting Note:     Peach, honey, guava & fresh apples on the nose. A modern, fresh style of Chenin. The palate is notably rich, especially for a Chenin at this level, showing honeyed apples with notes of minerality and a dry crisp finish.

Analysis:              Total Acidity: 6.9 g/l
Residual Sugar:   1.6g/l
Ph:                       3.53
