The wine displays its classic coppery luminosity. The bouquet releases emphatic aromas, particularly of strawberry and wild cherry, which yield to subtle notes of crisp almond, roast espresso, and ginseng. In the mouth, it is beautifully balanced, with an ultra-appealing thread of tangy mineral. The finish is both remarkably crisp and fragrant.
Located in Lucinico, in the most eastern part of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Collio. For generations, Attems has been synoymous with vine growing in Collio. The Attems family has always held the conviction that a wine's quality and character derive from its local growing area. The Frescobaldi family purchased the estate in 2000 after years of collaboration between the two families.
Vertically trellised Guyot trained vines.
12 hours skin contact to give a very distinctive coppery hue. Fermentation at 18-20C in stainless steel tanks lasting 7 days. The wine did not go through malolactic fermentation. 15% was aged for 2 months in barrique. It was then aged for 4 months in stainless steel tanks with 1 month in bottle before release.
Perfect when paired with oily fish, vegetable based antipasti, summer dishes or simply as an aperitif.
Pinot Grigio 100%
