Run by two brothers married to two sisters, the Domaine Tabordet estate in Sancerre was expanded in 1988 to include 8 hectares in Pouilly-Fumé. This is located at Pouilly-sur-Loire in the Central Vineyards region of the Loire Valley.
Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
Soil: Chalky clay.
Vinification: Pneumatic pressing of the grapes then fermented in temperature controlled tanks. The wine is aged for 3 months before bottling.Colour: Bright salmon pink
Nose: Intense nose marked by liquorice notes with lacteal aromas and red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries.Taste: A supple attack. A round and fruity wine with a crisp finish. Serve: Not too cold (12°C) with paté, hors d’oeuvres and salads. Also makes a good aperitif.
Cellaring: Best drunk within 24 months after release.
