Deep mature cherry colour, an explosive nose opens onto grilled toast spices and cloves. With a sugar rush, the palate reveals powerful and elegant aromas, reminiscent of cooked red fruits. This is an exceptional wine with soft tannins and a spicy after taste.
Gérard Bertrand is one of the most outstanding winemakers in the South of France, where he owns numerous estates among the most prestigious crus of Languedoc-Roussillon. After manual harvesting the grapes undergo carbonic maceration in vats. The wine is then put into 225 litres oak barrels for 10-12 months without being pressed or filtered before being bottled. The wine is aged in bottle for 12 months before release.
