Château Lynch-Bages, just outside Pauillac, owes its name partly to the very ancient hamlet of Bages where it is situated. The other half of the name comes from the marriage of Thomas Lynch to the daughter of the owner in 1749. The property was sold a few times but the name was re-established by the Cayrou brothers in 1862 and has remained unchanged ever since. The estate has been owned by the Cases family since the eve of World War II.

Sustainable agriculture with precisely defined methods of fertilisation adapted to the soils, vineyard-floor management strategies, such as weed control and cover-cropping to control the strength of the vine. Prolonged rest for the soil using flowered fallowing.
Fermentation in stainless steel with long 3-week maceration period. Running off and devatting using gravity. Aged in French oak for 12 months (80% new).
