A wine with a pale ruby/salmon hue and sweet clove and black cherry aromas. A light Pinot with sweet spice, smoky, leather and black plum flavours on the palate, all beautifully balanced.
Named 'Winery of the Year' in James Halliday's 2011 Wine Companion, Larry Cherubino wants his wines to be distinctive and to speak clearly of their variety and vineyard site. He believes in spending time in the vineyard, in paying attention to canopy and water management, and most importantly, picking at the right time with minimal interference in the winery. From delicate whites to big reds his wines have class and finesse.
Sourced from several locations in the Great Southern, the fruit was fermented using a combination of wild fermentation, whole bunch pressing and maturation in 1-3 year old French oak for six months prior to bottling.
