Chateau Beau Site, Cru Bourgeois Superieur 2007 - St Estephe Magnum

Château Beau Site, just behind Château Calon-Segur, lies on one of the highest points of the Médoc with a fantastic view over the Gironde. Beau Site's wine is full of character, and is full bodied and elegant. This is one of the best Châteaux of the appellation.

Grape varieties: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot

Area of vineyard: 35 ha

Soil: gravel

Age of vines: 30 years average

Vinification: This wine is vinified in the traditional method and then matured for 12 to 18 months in oak, 40% of which is new.

Taste: The majority of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend yields a wine with ripe blackcurrant fruit, balanced oak and good structure. A supple style for St. Estèphe showing great freshness of flavour.

Serve: This wine serves well with red and white meats, roasts, lamb, poultry and game.
