Juanico is one of Uruguay's leading family owned wineries and its most technically advanced, as a result of their investment in the latest technology. They have a total planted area of 240 hectares and use a cultivation system which respects the environment by using the principles of organic farming, avoiding the use of chemicals, to ensure a natural balance in the ecosystem and reduce human intervention.
This wine is made from an exciting new grape variety made by crossing Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache.
On the nose it shows notes of red berries, mint and eucalyptus. On the palate it is velvety initially, which intensifies on the mid-palate and leads to a long finish.
Oak aged for 3 months. Deep red colour.
Pork and mushroom dishes would suit this wine particularly well.
