The Costa di Bussia winery and the Arnulfo Estate are managed by the Sartirano family who are building on the success of Luigi Arnulfo, an entrepreneur from Alba who acquired the vineyards in 1874. The estate is located in Bussia in the region of Monteforte d'Alba with vines grown in a natural amphitheatre, covering an area of about 15 hectares at an average of 300m above sea level.

Winemaking: the Vinification process keeps the grape juice in contact with the skins for 18 days to improve the extraction of the Nebbiolo characteristics. This is carried out in small fermentation tanks, with the traditional pumping over the cap to delicately extract flavour and tannins

Ageing: For a minimum of 36 months in oak casks ranging from 250 to 600 litres in size and then a further 24 months in bottle. These bottles are left to rest in the Costa di Bussia's cellars that are dug out of the tufa rock where there are no sudden changes in temperature.

Colour: Deep garnet

Serve: At room temperature to accompany roast or grilled meats and mature cheese. Open the bottle 1 hour before pouring.

Taste: Matured for three years in oak casks to develop the characteristic slightly gamey and spicy tones for which Barolo Riservas are famed. The wine has firm tannins combined with ripe fruit flavours and a tangy finish. Will continue to age for a further 10 years.
