Tasting Note
Warm, earthy and mellow aromas with ripe blackberry fruit, spice and toasted wood in the background. Fruity and smooth.
Producer Note
Casa del Valle in Castilla-La Mancha boasts an entirely new winery. The bodega is owned by a group of Riojan growers who between them have three decades of winemaking experience, strong financial backing and the most advanced modern technology. The bodega is surrounded by 100 hectares of vineyards growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, all chosen for their great suitability for ageing and their well-defined character.
Winemaking
The different grape varieties were vinified separately in order to preserve the maximum character of each varietal. The Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in oak casks for six months in order to add depth and complexity to wine, whilst the Tempranillo was stored in steel vats, prior to blending, in order to preserve the fresh fruit aromas.
