Rémoissenet has the largest cellars of aged Burgundy in the world. Rémoissenet has been involved in the world of wine for two centuries and was in the careful hands of Roland Rémoissenet. However, under the dynamic new management of Bernard Repolt and winemaker Claudie Jobard, this famous house is now being revitalised, exploiting the wonderful aged stocks as well as introducing their new style estate wines.
Chambolle Musigny is situated in the central part of the Cote de Nuits, with vineyards located on East to South Easterly facing slopes at altitudes of 250m-350m. The limestone soils along with the pebbles and gravel are influential in the elegance and suppleness of the wines from Chambolle.
The most noticeable and attractive feature of this vintage is the quality and purity of the fruit; healthy, ripe grapes have yielded wines with truly sumptuous aromas and great succulence on the palate.
Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
Serve: at 16ºC with dishes with fine and delicate flavours - filet mignon, canard aux truffles, cheese
Taste: Sweet red fruits, integrated oak with soft ripe tannins and a silky texture through to a lingering elegant finish.
A good vintage to cellar.
