Beaujolais Villages, Chateau de Souzy 2010

Signé Vigneron was established by Olivier Ravier in 1997 in order to produce and promote the wines of the Beaujolais with good typicity from their respective areas.

Château du Souzy is a beautiful Castle built in 1765 in Quincié-en-Beaujolais Village by the prestigious Lyonnaise Family. The Domain overlooks the Valley Ardieres and is near the Historic Capital of Beaujolais, Beaujeu. The vineyards cover ten hectares on east and south east sloping hills, 350m above sea level. The average age of their vines is 48 years.

Grapes: 100% Gamay.

Viticulture and Vinification: Grapes are handpicked from the granite soils of the domain. They undergo semi-carbonic maceration at a controlled temperature.

Tasting Note: Ruby red with a red berries aroma. Medium body, crisp acidity with an abundance of blackcurrant and raspberry on the palate. Soft and rounded on the finish.

Serve: At 13/14°C to accompany white meats, fish, cheese or Asian cuisine
