The Moutard family has been making wine since 1642. François Moutard's 21 hectares of vines are located in Buxeuil on the Côte de Bar, the highest region in Champagne. Over the generations the Moutard family has explored the potential of the different terroirs, maintaining traditions while experimenting with different grapes varieties. François is one of the very few growers who can produce a Champagne - 6 Cépages - which is made up of the six permitted grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Petit Meslier and Arbane.
A delicate blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and red wine from Coteaux Champenois (still wine from Champagne). The Coteaux Champenois and Champagne Pinot Noirs were fermented separately with the white grapes in another vat. The grapes underwent a gentle pneumatic pressing, followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature controlled tanks. The wines were blended to create the perfect balance between freshness, richness and fruitiness. The secondary fermentation took place in the bottle, the Champagne was then aged on its fine lees for a minimum of three years.
Subtle with complexity, floral notes blend with the essence of fresh red fruits: raspberries and wild strawberries evolving towards peppery and spicy aromas. A beautiful Champagne with a distinctive style.
A food friendly and versatile Champagne, accompanies charcuterie, light salads, seafood, grilled fish in a delicate sauce and goats' cheese
