Tasting notes
A ruby red wine with concentrated aromas of cherry fruit. Soft and medium-bodied with a smooth, fresh fruit palate. An uncomplicated, very drinkable wine.
Producer note
Cantina Bonacchi, has been making fine Tuscan wines for three generations. The wines are produced from 40 hectares in the Chianti Montalbano and Chianti Classico areas, as well as from 10 hectares divided between Montalcino and Sant'Antimo. They also own 20 hectares in the more recent Montecucco DOC. Modern technology and family expertise enables Bonacchi to offer excellent products from their four estates in Tuscany.
Vineyard note
Sourced from vineyards in the provinces of Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Pistoia and Pisa.
Soil
Marl and limestone.
Viticulture
Cordon spur trained vines.
Vinification
Temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks with 8 days maceration on the skins and 9 days malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in tank and released for sale in the March following the vintage.
