The Monnier family has built up one of the biggest private domaines in the Côte de Beaune - 16ha of vineyards in the best crus of the Côte de Beaune and is now in the hands of the tenth generation. Great attention is paid to limiting the yields in the vineyards in order to guarantee the best possible quality of juice with the correct balance between fruit and acidity. The white wines are balanced between half new oak and half stainless steel; a typical balance of old and new aimed at wine with plenty of flavour not needing long ageing. The René Monnier name is well known in "three star" restaurants.
