Spain has been a producer of quality wines for many years, but she seems finally to be coming of age and producing stunning wines at all price levels. She produces well made and highly respected wines from international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot etc but she is also producing excellent wines from local grapes. The quality of the wines produced has increased immeasurably whilst prices have remained good for the quality on offer.
Traditionally made wines are still in abundance but with better vinification techniques making cleaner, better wines. There are now some new wave 21st Century Spanish wines on offer and many of these are well made single varietals of grape varieties hitherto not associated with Spain, such as Pinot Noir, and these wines are packaged with modern presentation.
We are direct importers of Spanish wines especially from Penedes, Conca de Barbera, Montsant, Priorat, Navarra and Rioja plus an Albarino, making us extremely competitive on our pricing of these wines. If you are not sure which Spanish wines to choose, our Spanish Selection box is a good place to start!
